Machrochasm is a Minecraft server that strives to provide a nostalgic Minecraft experience by operating on older versions of the game. It is currently on Minecraft Beta version 1.7.3 and runs the vanilla server software in addition to a third party authentication modification allowing players to authenticate using the modern Minecraft authentication servers.

Macrochasm runs is what is basically just my basement and not under a professional hosting company's infrastructure. I am lucky not to have to pay for the bandwidth it uses but I still pay the electricity bill for a bunch of servers as well as for the hardware. By donating to Macrochasm you can ensure that the bills stay paid and that the storage space to host the server's map will be expandable in the future.
