Two apps made for privacy, free and with no ads: Erevos and LPHL FASOULI.

Erevos

A messenger made for privacy. You need no account, no phone number and no email to use it, and it keeps working wherever you are: through a nearby phone with no network at all, over Wi-Fi, or over the internet.

• Nearby, without internet: two Android phones talk directly over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, end-to-end encrypted.
• Through a relay: a small server that anyone can also run themselves.
• Spaces: a password lock, a second password that opens a separate, empty Erevos, and hidden chats.
• It runs on Android, Linux, Windows, Sailfish OS and, from the browser, on an iPhone.

Why: the well-known apps ask for a phone number, know who talks to whom, and stop when the internet goes down. Erevos asks for nothing, and finds a way through whatever is there. It is still a test version, and it has not had an independent security audit yet.

LPHL FASOULI

A private personal finance app, with every feature free. It keeps all your money in one place: accounts in any currency, including cryptocurrencies and gold, income and expenses with categories, transfers, scheduled payments, budgets, reports and receipt photos. Your data stays on your device and syncs between your devices through your own cloud storage. It runs on Android, Linux, macOS, Sailfish OS, iOS and in the browser, in Greek and English.

Where donations go

To the running costs of both, mostly the server that runs Erevos's relay and its app for the browser. No ads, no investors, no data collection. Giving or not changes nothing in the apps.
